Lance Farmer

Lance leads the Data Science Innovations team consisting of Lumen’s AI Center of Excellence, RPA Center of Excellence and Blockchain work. He and his team have applied data science in a number of business functions such as reducing defects in a manufacturing plant, identifying early warning signs for employee turnover and improving margin attainment in a call center. These same principles are being applied in IT to prevent outages, reduce customer churn and improve network performance. As a former BYU football player, Lance recognizes the importance of gaining a competitive advantage, especially through data science.
