Making Connections in the Carolinas

I grew up in the Carolinas and there’s no place I’d rather be. This is home. My family and friends are here. Even though I have lived in other places, it’s these connections that keep bringing me back. Our network expansions in the region are helping to strengthen those connections by laying the foundation for economic growth and helping to bring the next generation of businesses closer to their customers.
The Carolinas have the best of many worlds: stunning geography with sunny beaches to the east and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the west, fabulous weather and some of the friendliest people in the world. Here, everyone is family. There is something for everyone which is why the region consistently ranks among the top places to live in the country.
It’s also one of the fastest growing economies in the country. Once known as a traditional economy built on tobacco, textiles and furniture manufacturing, the Carolinas are now a diverse technology-driven market with a growing footprint in manufacturing, technology, finance, and healthcare. Corporations of all sizes, from startups to multinational organizations, are drawn here by the high quality of living and a well-trained workforce.
Connecting to the future
Many of these companies need to be able to communicate and do business on a global scale while still making it feel local. CenturyLink’s advantage is our global scale. We have offices and data centers all over the world and our network spans the globe. Our ability to support companies virtually everywhere they do business brings people closer together and makes it feel like one company.
It’s about making connections. It’s connecting your workforce to the data and applications they need to do their jobs. It’s connecting your business to customers and partners here and around the globe. It’s using the cloud and edge computing to reduce latency and move more services closer to the end user, making those connections faster and more secure. In a matter of months, the way the world conducts business has completely transformed. The road to our new normal has been full of valuable lessons, one of the most important being how the network is a critical lifeline to business.
