India Sylvester

India Sylvester is Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer for Lumen. In this role she is responsible for guiding the strategy, programs and initiatives that foster a diverse and inclusive culture at Lumen. With more than 15 years of experience in human resources, India is an accomplished leader with a focus on culture shaping, talent and global diversity and inclusion. India has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Valdosta State University and an MBA from Strayer University. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is also a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). India believes creating a culture that embraces diversity, inclusion and belonging is a journey, saying “it takes all of us working together to make the changes we want to see.” India’s pursuit of change and self-betterment carries into her personal life as well, where she enjoys working on home improvement and renovation projects with her family.
